LU3134 - Law of Evidence: Safeguarding Reliability and Protecting Witnesses

This module is delivered by a combination of ten activities equivalent to a two-hour lecture and five fortnightly, one-hour tutorials.
Each week you will have either a live lecture or a combination of a pre-recorded lecture and other activities to complete of equivalent length. 
You will be allocated to a tutorial group taking place every two weeks during term time (excluding reading week). These will be live and interactive. You are expected to complete any required reading or activities set by your tutor in advance of your tutorial session. Those tutorial sessions provide a forum for exploration of issues, analysis, and critical debate, and for airing issues arising from the current state of the law.  Active student participation and involvement is important. You will be expected to prepare fully for tutorials and to participate actively in the discussion. You may also be asked on occasion to make a presentation and/or to lead the discussion.
All tutorials will be supported by online materials. You will be expected to read the relevant material, complete the lecture activities, and prepare for the tutorial.
There will be one (voluntary) formative assessment during the module. The individual feedback that you receive for this work will not form part of your mark for the module.
Your tutors will be available to provide additional academic support on the module normally through scheduled Feedback and Support hours which may be face-to-face, online or by telephone.
