<ul><li>Group Choreography: You will develop original group pieces using choreographic tools introduced at Level 4, expanding your creative vocabulary and compositional skills across Street, Commercial, and other styles.</li><li>Dance for Film: You will learn, rehearse, and capture choreography specifically for camera. This includes spatial awareness, visual framing, and editing considerations.</li><li>Freestyle: Weekly sessions to further develop confidence and improvisational range, focusing on individuality, musicality, and responsiveness to various styles and music genres.</li></ul>

Feedback is provided in a number of ways throughout your module. This includes feedback you receive during teaching from both peers and lecturers and that provided for formative assessment. Following an assessment, you will be given your marks and feedback in line with the assessment regulations and policy. Learning will take place through a series of practical classes, rehearsals, and reflective activities. Weekly taught sessions will cover Group Choreography, Freestyle, and Dance for Film. Each component focuses on creative development, performance clarity, and professional readiness.
In Group Choreography, you will collaboratively generate original work using choreographic tools introduced at Level 4, with an emphasis on style integration, spatial design, and collaborative dynamics.
Freestyle sessions will support you in developing confidence, individuality, and musical responsiveness through structured improvisational tasks across different genres.
Dance for Film classes will be delivered weekly by a professional choreographer. You will learn and rehearse pre-choreographed routines, gaining insight into how dance is adapted for screen presentation—particularly for TV and film contexts. These sessions will include practice in spatial awareness, performance for camera, and professional presentation. You will engage in reviewing and analysing recorded footage to support your performance development.
Reflective learning is embedded across the module through process documentation, peer feedback, tutor guidance, and optional project formats for assessment.
