Following an assessment, you will be given your marks and feedback in line with the assessment regulations and policy. The module employs an in-person learning approach, combining face-to-face teaching with online learning through Moodle, the university’s virtual platform. It maximises learning technologies while emphasising the benefits of in-person facilitation and interactive peer collaboration. These methods will enhance your existing strengths and preferred learning styles, fostering professional development and meeting module objectives.
A variety of methods will be employed throughout the module, including:

</ul>
Lectures serve as a platform for core material and stimulate further reading. Interaction during lectures is encouraged. Lecture resources, including recordings and handouts, are available on Moodle, but attending lectures is highly recommended as Moodle content does not replace attendance. Detailed notes should be taken during lectures and supplemented with additional reading during self-directed study. The reading list on Moodle offers extra resources to help you develop confidence in complex topics and guide further study.

<li> Seminars/Tutorials</li>
</ul>
Seminars allow you to discuss topics in depth beyond lecture content. Tutorials, with smaller groups, focus on problem-solving related to lecture material. Here, lecturers address questions stemming from lectures. These sessions allow for more individualised attention and direct interaction with lecturers, enabling you to clarify doubts, receive feedback, and deepen your understanding of course material. Tutorials may also involve collaborative activities where you could work together with your peers to solve problems or analyse case studies. Additionally, there will be activities in the skills suite to reinforce concepts covered in lectures. A seminar with service users will provide insights into their experiences with radiographers during hospital visits, fostering reflection on best practices.

</ul>
You have designated self-directed study hours for independent learning and assessment preparation. This time, though part of module hours, allows you to choose study areas independently, fostering autonomy and self-reliance in your studies.
Independent study involves session preparation, follow-up, wider reading, practice, assessments, and revision. Set activities can be done individually or in groups, forming a formative assessment strategy aiding in module completion.
The module's contact hours will employ various methods. This could involve in-person sessions on campus, synchronous online sessions where participants engage simultaneously, and asynchronous guided activities online. These activities may include viewing recorded lectures, reading materials, quizzes, exercises, and forum discussions. This enables you to observe first-hand the working principles of the imaging and radiotherapy equipment when placed in situations that simulate real-life clinical scenarios. Workshops in the x-ray suites and VERT room will enable you to consolidate your theory into practice in a safe environment. During these workshops, you will be introduced to all the components of the x-ray machine and the VERT system, further enhancing your knowledge of the radiography equipment and profession.
