Feedback is provided in a number of ways throughout your module. This includes feedback you receive during teaching from both peers and lecturers and that provided for formative assessment. Following an assessment, you will be given your marks and feedback in line with the assessment regulations and policy. LA0032 - Language extracurricular Spanish for Business - Upper Intermediate Level

Classroom activities will include: presentation/ input, class room discussion, pair and group work, project work, work on linguistic structures/ vocabulary; role-play; individual (student) presentations. Listening to audio clips and watching videos are an important element in our lessons. More comprehensive exercises, writing tasks, reading texts and independent research are generally set as homework.

Language extracurricular Spanish for Business - Upper Intermediate Level

Understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and more abstract topics, including some technical discussions related to Business and culture. 

Knowledge

Produce clear, connected texts on a variety of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue. 

Consolidate complex grammatical structures and a wide range of vocabulary and registers.

Use language creatively and with good grammatical control when speaking or writing for a range of purposes and audiences.

Skills

Extract and decode complex meanings in a variety of written and aural sources relating to Business, society and culture.

Evaluate critically more aspects of the cultures and linguistic contexts as well as economic and social structures and history of the countries in which Spanish is spoken.

Use monolingual (online) resources independently. Understand different meanings of items given in monolingual and bilingual dictionaries.

Organise, assess general and more specific information from authentic sources and present ideas within a framework of a structured and reasoned argument.

Summarise complex written or spoken material in written form (e.g. by taking accurate notes, writing essays, reports or doing presentations in Spanish)

Apply language skills in researching aspects of current affairs and contemporary issues related to Business and cultural life.

A critical understanding of a culture and practice other than one's own.
