Feedback is provided in a number of ways throughout your module. This includes feedback you receive during teaching from both peers and lecturers and that provided for formative assessment. Following an assessment, you will be given your marks and feedback in line with the assessment regulations and policy. This module is delivered through a blended learning approach. It is essential that you engage fully with all scheduled classes, learning materials, and activities, as they are designed to work together in a cohesive way to support your academic development. 
 
You will attend ten interactive large group sessions, each equivalent to a two-hour lecture. These sessions are complemented by structured resources and activities available on Moodle, the university’s virtual learning environment. 
 
If you do not have UK visa restrictions, you will have the option to attend lectures remotely. Remote attendance means that Lectures will be delivered in person on campus, but you will be able to stream the lecture live using a specified digital platform. This choice must be made at the beginning of the academic year and will apply for the full term. However, opportunities to review and change your mode of attendance will be available at key points during the term. 
 
Remote attendance and live streaming will not compromise your ability to participate. All lectures incorporate real-time 'live’ interactive tools (e.g. Poll Everywhere), allowing for interactive learning experiences regardless of location. In addition, each lecture will be followed by an online Q&amp;A session, giving all students equal opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification from the tutor who delivered the lecture. 
 
All sessions are supported by structured online materials, including essential readings, useful links, and interactive activities to complete before, during, and after class. Engaging fully with these resources is vital to your preparation and understanding of the module content. 
 
Additional academic support will be available during scheduled Feedback and Support hours, which may be offered either in person or online.

For students with visa restrictions and those that choose on campus attendance; your teaching pattern is set out below.
For students with no visa restriction who opt to attend lectures remotely; you will attend the contact lecture hours indicated below synchronously online.

Explain and evaluate the nature of scientific approaches to the study of cognitive phenomena through specific examples.

Describe experimental work and theories related to key topics in Cognitive Psychology. 

Apply empirical evidence to support or critique theoretical perspectives.

Analyse classic debates and theoretical issues in Cognitive Psychology, using relevant examples from the literature. 

Compare different theoretical approaches within Cognitive Psychology. 

Identify the cognitive underpinnings of human thought and behaviour through reflective discussion or assessment tasks.
