Regular meetings with your research supervisor documented on Research Manager. Feedback is provided in a number of ways throughout your module. This includes feedback you receive during teaching from both peers and lecturers and that provided for formative assessment. Following an assessment, you will be given your marks and feedback in line with the assessment regulations and policy. Knowledge and understanding are promoted through independent reading, discussion with and feedback from your research supervisor, and your execution of the project. The acquisition of research skills is assisted by research teaching across the programme, and key learning resources will be available on the module Moodle page.&nbsp;In the independent study time you will be encouraged by your research supervisor to read widely and in depth around your research methodology and substantive topic, to enable you to conduct independent research at doctoral level. &nbsp;&nbsp;You will be encouraged to submit a poster of your research to a conference e.g. the BPS Division of Counselling Psychology conference, and to apply for a bursary to attend the conference, but submission is not a requirement of the module.&nbsp;

Execute and present in a systematic way a research methodology of choice, with particular attention to epistemological, analytical, reflexivity and practical issues.

Critically apply a wide range of research skills, including accessing appropriate sources of information, collecting suitable data, and analysing the data to produce practice-relevant knowledge.
